2.1- Basic Functional Overview
Mylinking™ Network Tap of ML-TAP-0801 has Up to 8Gbps processing capacity. Supports optical split or mirroring span access. Supports maximum 2 Gigabit SFP slots and 6 Gigabit electrical ports. SFP slot flexibly supports Gigabit single/multi-mode optical modules and Gigabit electrical modules. Supports LAN mode; The hash algorithm factor of load balancing can be based on source/destination MAC addresses or quintuple standard protocol domains.
2.2- System Structure and Operating Principle
Mylinking™ Network Tap uses dedicated ASIC chip with hardware mode design. The internal has a strong packet traffic re-generation engine, which can complete multi-port wire-speed traffic replication. The hardware packet-filtering engine can flexibly support packet by grouping replication between different ports. Each Ethernet MAC port has isolated frame buffer in order to have better replication and transmission frame performance; Gigabit Ethernet PHY modules can flexibly support Gigabit electrical interface ( 10/100/1000M self-negotiation) and Gigabit optical interfaces
2.3- Duplex wire-speed traffic replication capabilities
Mylinking™ Network Tap uses ASIC chip with hardware mode design which can wire-speed copy Ethernet signal. Flexibly and respectively make 1 road 1000Mbps port traffic copy to many roads 1000Mbps port, effectively making your intrusion detection, prevention systems, security audit system, protocol analyzers, RMON probes, and other security bypass deployment devices can completely monitor the data traffic, and ensure your network security better.
2.4- Flexible port group replication and aggregation function
Mylinking™ Network Tap with multiple 1000M Ethernet optical/electrical interface (depending on model), you can flexible define port group to achieve one or more of the 1000M Ethernet link signal replication. By defining a port group, and specify any number of traffic replication source port and destination port, it can support multiple traffic replication and aggregation source and destination port, and even support the traffic replication and aggregation of multiple source port to multiple destination port.
2.5- Port Load Balancing (Network Traffic Forwarding/Split)
Mylinking™ Network Tap traffic replication/ aggregation device supports traffic output load balancing function, for the traffic output port in the same group, through the configuration port shunt group, the output traffic is assigned to 1-to-many port with distribution output. Each port shunt group can support up to 7 ports member, the divergence strategy output traffic can be split according to message MAC information, IP information, TCPUDP port information, distribute traffic in each output port can keep the upper layer protocol session integrity. When each port of shunt group in a connected state is UP, it can automatically add traffic shunt group; when is down, it can automatically remove from the traffic shunt group.
2.6- Supports 802.1Q traffic replication
Mylinking™ Network Tap Gigabit Ethernet traffic replicator/aggregator can be transparently supports the mirroring replication of TRUNK data source port, regardless of your mirroring data port is Trunk port or Access port, are able to achieve many-to-1 and many-to-many data replication. Flexibly to meet the needs of different topologies.

3.1 Mylinking™ Network Tap for Traffic Replication and Traffic Aggregation(as following)
Mylinking™ Network Tap one of the typical application is as a grouped traffic replication device. As shown above, the intrusion detection system and network behavior audit system are bypass deployed equipment, so which need monitor the data traffic from two core switches. Mylinking™ traffic replicator can use the grouped port replication technology which can flexibly and respectively copy the data from two different Gigabit Ethernet links to other four Gigabit Ethernet links. 3.2 Mylinking™ Network Tap Traffic Forwarding and Distribution Application(as following)
Mylinking™ Network Tap uses HASH algorithm and performs Hash distribution to ensure the session integrity of data flow from each auditing system according to the information of MAC, IP, port and protocol, etc. The members of port group can exit (Link DOWN) or enter (Link UP) the changeable link flexibly and redistribute the flow automatically to ensure the dynamic load balance of port output flow.
